Angel & Zachary: A Timeless Romance

The church wedding at Steeple Square in Dubuque, IA was nothing short of magical. The towering, historic steeple cast a serene shadow over the beautifully restored space, where soft burgundy and deep navy accents adorned the pews and alter. Candles flickered gently in the quiet air, casting a warm glow as the bride, radiant in her white gown, walked down the aisle. The rich colors created a romantic atmosphere, blending elegance and intimacy in perfect harmony. As vows were exchanged beneath the high, vaulted ceilings, every moment felt timeless, a reflection of love in its purest form.

Kyra & Matt: A Perfectly Plum & Lavender Love
Prairie Oak Lodge · Marion, Iowa
I started working with Kyra and Matt about a year out from their wedding day and I knew right away from looking at Kyra’s Pinterest Board that I was so excited to work on this beautiful fall wedding. She wanted a plum purple color palette with lavender hues, rich greens and touches of creams and ivories. This is a fairytale wedding dream come true! They tied the knot and celebrated with friends and family at the Prairie Oak Lodge in Marion. It was so much fun to turn the pavilion into a fairytale dream come true with stringing fairy lights, candles, and flowers everywhere. We started with a purple-hued color palette and began choosing inspiration photos from Kyra’s Pinterest Board that speaks most to the aesthetic she is looking for.

In the heart of the Amana Colonies, where every cottage looks like it was plucked from a storybook, a sweet little wedding unfolded in a whirl of cheerful blue. Guests swooned over the painterly cake and fun florals built by the bride herself. As the couple twirled under the lights of the dance floor, the whole celebration felt like a charming watercolor come to life — soft, cozy, and utterly adorable.
